About

Welcome to Friends of Guyana in the Americas and Caribbean – an organization committed to uplifting the people of Guyana and the broader Caribbean region through dedicated efforts in government reform and sustainable development. Our mission is to support Guyana in becoming a beacon of ethics and good governance, as it evolves into a major regional player with significant international impact.

I am Thomas Anderson, the founder and driving force behind Friends of Guyana in the Americas and Caribbean. Allow me to share a bit about my journey and the inspiration behind this organization.

For over 15 years, I have navigated the labyrinthine corridors of national and international politics, with a particular focus on promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity within various governmental systems. My background includes extensive work in policy advocacy, public education, and collaboration with numerous governmental and non-governmental organizations. These experiences have shown me the transformative power of good governance and ethical leadership.

Guyana, blessed with rich natural resources, stands at the cusp of a new era. As the country evolves from a relatively unknown entity on the geopolitical scene to a pivotal regional force, it faces both immense opportunities and significant challenges. Friends of Guyana in the Americas and Caribbean aims to support this transformation by leveraging the influence and resources of supportive nations, particularly the United States, to advocate for the well-being and advancement of Guyana.

Our work involves educating and mobilizing the public, policymakers, and thought leaders to recognize and act upon the opportunities and responsibilities we share. By fostering partnerships and promoting informed, ethical decision-making, we aim to contribute meaningfully to Guyana’s journey toward sustainable development and robust governance.

Throughout my career, I have utilized Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniques to uncover hidden truths and assemble comprehensive pictures from fragmented information. This meticulous process has informed my contributions to investigative reports and policy recommendations, which have often created ripples across various sectors. My findings have been shared with renowned media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the Washington Post, contributing to stories that have significantly impacted public discourse.

In addition to my work in politics and governance, I have worked as a consultant for major media outlets and have collaborated behind the scenes with a host of journalists across many platforms and political persuasions. This experience has reinforced the importance of diverse voices and perspectives in shaping public understanding and policy.

At Friends of Guyana in the Americas and Caribbean, we believe that the treasures of Guyana’s land should be matched by the flourishing of its people. Our mission is to support the people of Guyana as they navigate their path toward a future of exponential growth and global significance, focusing on good governance and ethical leadership as they transform of their own volition.

Join us in this transformative journey. Together, we can play an integral role in shaping a brighter, more sustainable future for Guyana and the Caribbean through establishing and maintaining a beacon of Human Rights in the region.
